Fine Tuning Experiential Skills in Schema Therapy Live 1 Day Intensive

The use of experiential techniques is an essential component of schema therapy. Techniques such as schema mode work, Imagery rescripting and chairwork are powerful mechanisms for change. However, many clinicians note that they wish to develop greater confidence in using such techniques.
This live intensive training will focus on ways to fine-tune and improve skills related to experiential techniques. The training will be small (under 20 people) and have ample time for role play and demonstration of skills. The training can also be used towards certification in schema therapy.
Learning Outcomes
- Improve Imagery rescripting skills
- Assist skills in managing impasses, and difficult circumstances in imagery work
- Develop skills in schema mode work and mode work using chairs
- Develop skills in chair work for motivation and application for addiction and grief.
AM- Centres on Imagery rescripting and imagery work
PM- centres on the use of mode work and chair work in schema therapy
Skills Videos demonstrating skills in imagery, mode work & chair work will be available to view on demand for 16 weeks following the training.
Training can be used towards Schema Therapy Accreditation.
Training starts at 9AM AEST (Melb/ Sydney), 7am AWST (Perth, Singapore, HK)

Chris is based in Perth, Western Australia. Since 2005, he has been practicing as an advanced Schema Therapist, supervisor and trainer having completed certification in Schema Therapy at the Schema Therapy Institute in New York City (USA) with Dr Jeffery Young. He has presented workshops throughout Europe, Asia and Australasia. He is the Director of Schema Therapy Training Australia.

Robert is a clinical psychologist and researcher working out of Sydney, Australia. From 2010-2017 Rob's work life consisted of supervising and lecturing on Clinical Psychology Masters programs (Western Sydney University; University of Technology) and running a small private practice. This practice has evolved into Schema Therapy Sydney the first schema therapy focused private practice to be established in Sydney. In 2018, Rob co-authored the book 'Contextual Schema Therapy'. Rob has been affiliated with Schema Therapy Training Australia for the past 7 years and now regularly provides accredited schema trainings across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
