The Schema Therapy Solution:
A Self-Awareness & Self-Development
Course for Everyday Living
"The Schema Therapy Solution" is a self-guided online self-development course based on schema therapy principles that can be completed ‘at your own pace’ and in the comfort of your own home. This ‘Reinventing Your Life’ style program aims to help people to become aware of their own ‘Schema Wounds’, how they have learned to carry them and survive them, and how these patterns can permeate our lives and life problems. The course is designed to help you to understand and work on long-standing negative life patterns that tend to get in the way of the most important things in life such as relationships, parenting, and work performance. Through practical examples and exercises, you'll learn how to recognize and change these habits, making the space for personal growth, resilience, and improved connections. Whether you want to overcome self-imposed limits, resolve relationship issues, or boost your well-being, this course will provide you with the awareness of your own emotional and behavioral patterns that can help you on your journey to change.
Who is this Course for?
We thoroughly believe that the principles of Schema Therapy self-awareness and self-development can be of benefit to just about anyone who is interested in understanding themselves, and how our unique patterns of emotional pain and survival can shape who we are, and our approach to life’s problems. That is to say that this course could be relevant to everyone. However, there are specific groups of people who will find this course an especially good fit. Consider the following motivations:
- You are a curious person that has a need to understand the feelings, motivations, and behaviours of yourself and others.
- Those interested in understanding and improving their communication and relationship patterns; intimate, social, family, and parenting.
- Those interested in understanding how our own emotional blocks (schemas & coping styles) can get in the way of our work or performance goals.
- People who are curious about Schema Therapy but cannot commit to the process yet (for any reason). The Schema Therapy Solution course is a great way to ‘check out’ what Schema Therapy ideas are all about, and equip you with the knowledge you may need to make informed decisions about your journey.
- Those who may already be in Schema Therapy and are keen to supplement therapy with supportive learning materials - psychoeducational materials - to support and speed up the process.
- Therapists who are keen to understand their own schemas and how these might relate to our own transference and counter-transference patterns in work and in life.
- Graduate Students in the field of psychology who would like to get a clear and cohesive understanding of Schema Therapy from both a personal and applied stance.
